Default Online vs. Live Poker Games

Online poker is the way that many people are playing poker today but it is not the only way. People still choose to play land based casino poker. Some players even do both.

Is online poker the same game as land based casino poker?

The 1st major difference between the two is the amount of hands played. There are so many hands played online compared to a casino.

Sometimes the difference can be 4 or 5 times as many hands. That is a lot more action at online poker sites.

Online poker allows players to sit down for just a short period of time while casino poker involves more time. In a live game you are usually going to be playing with the same opponents for a long period of time, while online poker will see players come and go. You definitely have to adjust your strategy for both situations.

Playing at land-based casinos you need to mix up your play than it does at an online poker site. Remember playing on online poker sites, bluffs don’t work as well. Online poker is a game where all you see are the names, not the faces.

It is more difficult for a person in a live casino poker game to continually push chips into the middle of the table with no cards unlike on online it is less intimidating.

Online poker is absolutely a tighter play and still gets action. In casino poker if you sit there and seldom play a hand people will notice and not give you any action.

Most players don’t focus as much on their opponents when playing online as they do in person and your image gets to be well known.

Online poker is definitely popular and more people are playing at online poker sites everyday but casino poker still has its place. Both poker games are technically the same but they have a few differences that you must be aware of if you want to win money.

Poker Host is currently offering an initial deposit bonus of 100% up to $2,000 and a monthly chase for satellite seats to the World Poker Tour.

In Poker and in Love, You have to know when you are beat. Just Fold
and go home. Have a good cry while you are at it.
